In the duo performance YA I ONA two graphic, visually overlapping maps are created on both sides of the glass front of the exhibition space.
In a temporal rhythm, whereby one minute in the performance corresponds to one real year of life, the performers trace the routes of their life's locomotions. Colour codes are assigned to each category, such as stay abroad, travel and relocation. Through the transparency of the drawing surface, a choreography of movement develops between the performers, despite the individual reconstruction.
While the radius of movement initially oscillates between two points, the frequency of visited places increases over time and a race against memory, in capturing all translocations, develops. The work deals with the personal perception of time and distance and explores the limits of remembrance.
