WANDELZEITFIGUR I II III IV represents a transformation of the DREI ZEITFIGUREN. The spatial installation, originally created in Hamburg, is sawn up and welded in Vienna into four new figures, which all have the same branching pattern. In contrast to the originally course, based on a randomly generated calculation, the WANDELZEITFIGUREN have an organic, branching form and relate to a geometric order of all natural forms.
In the sound performance with Manuel the metal sculptures, to which contact microphones are attached, are sonified as the KLANGZEITFIGUREN. They are played entirely using only cello bows and the hands.
The controlled improvisation is characterized by a mutual reaction to sound courses and impulses. In a sequence of concentrated calm sections and phases of acoustic accumulation, the generated tones are reminiscent of atmospheric cosmic sounds, bell rings and the absence of time.
