The performance DISJUNKTE MENGEN takes place in the public space of Vienna and deals with the topic of social distance in an interconnected system. Coloured rings are attached to the three performers, representing the RGB colour circle. Together they form a unit, but also represent single elements in coexistence with each other.
The drop-like shape of the rings reminds of the Google Maps location sign. During the performance, the cartographic route can be tracked online. The intervention in public space raises the question of privacy policy and surveillance during the time of quarantine, when groups of people can be monitored via their mobile phones.
The mathematical term "disjoint" describes quantities without a common intersection.
