DATA FLOWS LIKE RIVERS forms the final phase of the work series visualising telephone calls in a relationship, previously shown in a laboratory-like setting and as a hybrid installation.
The chosen mode of representation, recalling cellular structures, closes the circle of previous display formats by statistically evaluating "the chemistry between two people" on the one hand and referring to its biological and physical origins on the other. In this way, correlations between different sciences such as mathematics, biology, chemistry and psychology are emphasised.
The duo exhibition conducts a complex dialogue between data systems, memory and correspondences. The approaches of the two positions converge in a common concern: the aesthetics of grids, architecture, codes and the possibility of depicting both intimate and expansive worlds.
