The site-specific installation CONGRUENCE examines the correlations between the symbolic language of ancient civilisations in Mesoamerica and Mesopotamia, which despite their temporal and geographical distance show parallels in architectural and cosmological contexts.
The presentation interweaves symbolic representations on one side with notations generated during the creation process on the other, forming a complex structure of ancient and contemporary codes, signs and translations resulting from a personal interpretation.
The term "congruence", derived from mathematics, describes two matching geometric shapes and refers to the principle of reciprocity. The process-based work aims to encourage a networked understanding of global events.
