In the long-term performance and installation AUF DER LEITUNG STEHEN, the data of the duration of phone call times in a relationship is visualised in a complex circuit with colour-coded liquids.
One minute corresponds to 1mL, the quantities are accurately filled into monthly, quarterly and yearly vessels, pulled up and roped off, until they finally merge again in a container and rise as soap bubbles.
The work deals with the current socio-political situation by questioning the basis and validity of statistical data and addressing the omnipresence of numbers that are taken as a scale for systemic decisions.
