The performance Das 2^4-Erfolgsprinzip takes place within the framework of the Stereoskop Performance Festival under the thematic focus "prey scheme" at the student dorm base 11, Vienna.
All doors of the dorm are hold in the colors yellow, red and blue (each in two shades). The heart of the dormitory form two elevators, which are permanently in operation. The performance takes place alternately in the left and the right elevator in 6 temporal sections of 20 minutes each. During this period, the number of visitors in the elevator is captured in the categories of door colors. Foreign visitors to the house are assigned the color white and no indication black. The evaluation also examines gender and direction of travel (up / down).
After 20 minutes of counting within the elevator, it is left in the basement and the measured values are transferred in a coded way to acrylic glass panels. The values get summed and the highest and lowest values of the visitors in the respective color category are determined. Distributed over the evening, each of the 6 panels is filled with measurement results.
The most frequently represented door color of a visitor thus offers the highest success rate on the hunt in the elevator.
