The transit performance Verführte Führung is held as part of Klangmanifeste 2018 between the two venues. Distributed over the evening, visitors are guided three times from Echoraum (Sechshauser Str. 66, Vienna) to Maschinenraum (Sechshauser Str. 28).
The performance begins without notice, the visitors hear only the rising sinus sound of 660 Hz of a flute and are led out into the street. There they follow the performer, wrapped in a black robe, to Sechshauser Str. 28, with the sound of the flute rising from 660 Hz to 280 Hz at each new house number. At street intersections and at traffic light breaks, white noise can be heard.
On the cape are written in braille font synonyms of the term "seduction", including, among others veneering, charm, illusion, magic, spells and fraud. The representation of the terms in braille represents a doubling effect - the "blind following" after an auditory stimulus, with the coded writing on the cape in mind, which thematizes exactly what is not decipherable without knowledge and thus remains veiled.
The pure sinus tones integrate into the noise of the streets and lead to an unclarified enigmatic overall atmosphere in the dark.
