I Bujatti-Villa & II University of applied Arts Vienna 2019
curated by I Jeannine Jesch & II Lena Kohlmayr photos performance: Manuel C. Bachinger & Mani Froh
Investigation I+II takes up the series of works on the encryption of terms in Braille-type. Synonyms of the word "seduction" appear for the first time in the performance Verführte Führung, in which visitors of the Klangmanifeste-Festival are guided from one location to another with the sound of a sine wave flute. The performer wears a black cape with the inscription of words dealing with misleading.
In the installative work Blinde Verhüllung, the coded terms are transferred to PVC strips hanging at the entrance to Bujatti-Villa. Here an all-day performance event takes place, referring to Arthur Schnitzler's "Dream Story". Each visitor is thus covered in a transparent veil of illusion and deception when entering.
The black cape with Braille-type is taken up in Investigation I+II and serves the irritation about the subject of investigation. In the performance data on the permeability and closeness of the University of applied Arts is collected and mapped between the two university buildings. The event takes place in the frame of the Angewandte-Festival under the topic "Öffnungen/Openings".
